Perhaps you should Take another look Before you remark And give such words My angel lost her wings, she fell from grace, descending from the heavens falling through space she fell down to earth. Trapped Bitter Sad Lost… And so confused Everyone screamed, Ran away But for some reason I stayed. I was captivated with the beauty of this wondrous angel, While everyone saw a monstrous creature I saw a scared girl who was lost in more way then one I understood the pain Of being lost in the world I walked up and she seemed defensive But I held out a hand and smiled She looked at me warily then reached out and grabbed my hand Then she smiled I couldn’t breathe My heart was racing we blushed I asked her to stay awhile with me She nodded We stayed together for months, years She never said a word to me I had shared my love for her And she had seemed so happy But still not a word Then one day I went out When I came back I said “I’m home!” She came running Tears running down her face I asked her what had happened But she just rested her head on my shoulder and said I love you I was shocked “What?” “I love you” Why are you saying it now? Not that I’m not happy but- She cut me off “I’m going to die.” My eyes widened “NO!” “Why?!” Because I am no longer an angel, I fell in love with a human “You… this is my fault?” She shook her head “don’t think of it like that” “I’m the one in love with you” “But it’s considered disgusting” She smiled at me one last time and kissed me “I love you” And she left Because of others my love is gone So perhaps you should Take another look Before you remark And give such words My angel lost her wings, she fell from grace, descending from the heavens falling through space she fell down to earth And she found life and happiness For the first time She fell in love Do you really think that love is so wrong? Because now I’ve lost it
