Vanity, Vanity, all is Vanity
“ The wondrous peace of that sleeping summer flowed through me like a tide,” Camus, 122.
To an outsider this event may not seem like a big deal, but finishing Vanity Fair was like ending a long journey and sitting back and examining just how wonderful it was. The wondrous peace of that brilliant book did flow over me once I finished, but I was still sad that it was over. It was classic bittersweet moment.
