Dioxins
Since dioxins are found in burned items that contain chlorine, some of these things include medical waste, iron ore milles, copper smelters, cement kilns, metal recycling , and the biggest, coal combustion.
When dioxins are emitted through smoke, they settle into our environment, making there way into our food web. Usually humans take in dioxins through meat and dairy, and they are stored in our body fat.
Dioxins are a group of 75 similar chemical compounds formed as unwanted by-products during the combustion of chlorine compounds

Dioxins have shown many kinds of cancer in laboratory animals. They also have shown high cancer risk in humans. For example, in 1976 a chemical accident took place in Italy. After about 20 years a study was proven that the dioxins had an affect on the humans causing a significant increase in cancer deaths.
Other concerns are on the human reproductive system, immune system, and nervous system. They delay fetal development, they cause endometriosis in women and sperm loss in men. They also increase the risk of heart disease.
