I wander deserts of indifference Searching for you to slack my thirst I stumble in the black of neglect Looking for the light to banish the DESPAIR He trots by my side As though my loyal pet Curling his thorny tail around my bleeding heart He oozes into my pores Filling my mind with darkness And twisting my thoughts towards MADNESS Oh what power behind that word The strength to crush mountains and obliterate cities A sweet poison flowing through my veins Staining my once clean soul midnight Blood drips from my fingers as stand on the world Once vibrant green and thrumming with life Now like the desert I wandered in so long ago
