Philately
Philately is a hobby of collecting postage stamps. Likely to view acts as a very tedious hobby but it is very interesting and informative hobby and it must be recognized. In this is not important an amount of value its important what it represents you.
Who is philatelist? Anyone who has ever torn postage stamp from the envelope and stored it in a book, drawer, etc., or saved the entire envelope
My collection It counts over 1500 stamps from Yugoslavia, Croatia, Romania, Greec, Russia, Itali, German, Austria, Poland,.....
How to remove stamps from envelope? It is actually very easy, and the result will be preserved and flat stamps. One thing you should not do to your stamps, taking of stmaps using irons or ironing because they are not straight! Stamps will lose its color (paper will become yellow) and get visible damage. To remove the stamps from envelopes, cut envelope around stamp at least five millimeters from the edge of the stamp and then plunge stamp into a pot of warm water (but not to hot) and leave it in fifteen minutes. Stamp will come out clean and ready for drying. There is a possibility for stamp to come out damaged, and that is only if the stamp was sticked on envelope damaged or color that is made is color of lower quality and dissolves in water. If you stamp doesnt come out easily from the paper, it means that the glue is very strong and it is recommended that you put stamp in a littlebit hoter water for a longer period of time.
Drying: This is the easiest procedure, set the stamps between two clean paper on a flat surface and place on them the books (a lot of books). Stamps will come out perfectly straight. CAUTION: If you remove all the glue from the back of the stamp, stamps will stick again on paper and you have to repeat the process.
Stamps is best stored in an album designed for their storage, so will remain in the condition as you received them, or even much better for a long time.
The price which your stamps achieve on the market can be found in philatelic journals such as: Michele, Yvert, Scott, Stanley Gibbson, Domfil, etc.
