The Digestive System The main goal for the digestive system is too break down foods that we eat so we can use them for proteins and fats that our body needs.
The first part of the Digestive system is the Mouth. The mouth basically takes all the food you eat and uses your teeth to break them down and send them to your esphogus. The second part is the esphogus this a long muscle in your body that serves as a passageway for all the food you eat from your mouth to your stomach without this you would have food going into your lungs. Eventually all the food you eat ends up in the stomach where the food is broken down into acid and is sent to the small intestine for the final breakdown of all the foods. The small intestine basically finishes the process of breaking down all the fats and proteins in the food that you've eaten and spreads them through your body. The large intestine absorbs water and waste and removes the water which is why (most of the time) waste is solid. The final stage of the digestive process is the rectum which is located at the end of the large intestine. It remains shut until the need arises for waste to be brought out of the body.
Chemical Process Involves the body breaking down things without you controlling it such as the break down of food into acids.
Mechanical Process Involves manual usage of your body an example being chewing sometthing.
Digestive System
If you ate an apple You would chew it from your mouth and it would go down your esophogus into your stomach where it would be broken down into acid. Eventually it would be abosorbed into the small intestine where it be broken down more and all the key componets such as the vitamins and proteins from it would be spread throughout your body. Eventually it'll end up in your large intestine be turned into waste and be leave your rectum.
The Urinary System
The function of the urinary system is to regulate body fluids and to get rid of metabollic waste. The urinary system works by getting rid of a certain type of waste called urea which comes from the food you eat. It eventually goes to your kidney where it removes the urea from your blood and mixes it with water to form urine. It then passes that on to your bladder where it sits there until you have to urinate then it goes to your urethra and then it leaves your body.
Urinary Tract Infection is when bacteria enters the urinary tract and it can cause damage to the kidneys and other organs in the urinary tract.
Interesting Facts If you didn't have a urinary system all the toxins in your body would build up in your kidney's and you would die. Another interesting fact is that all the blood in our body passes through each kidney 400 times a day
