The Aztecs used specific form of mathematics, they were able to fully observe the movement of the moon, and of the sun. With this they were able to develop one of the most accurate calenders. This calender would allow them to make well and exact calculations.
Aztecs used symbols to represent their fractions. They had three recognized symbols used for math by Archeologists. Hands, hearts, and arrow symbols are used for three different type of units to use for land area, probably to record property for farmers or landowners which needed be recorded for how a certain amount of crops needed to be grown in a fraction of land.
