Respiratory System
By: Ruben Ramirez
You can't store oxygen, so you have to let it out and BREATHE. Breathing is the main function of the respiratory sytem.
When you inhale air rushes into your nose or mouth, and it travels down the trachea (or windpipe) into your lungs.
Lungs are surrounded by ribcage, and it rests on the diaphragm. Every time you breathe the diaphragm goes down a bit, and your lungs expand to take in and let out air
Lungs - Recieve oxygen, and send out carbon dioxide.
Trachea - sends air into the lungs.
Diaphragm - relaxes and tenses while you breath.
