The French Revolution was the result of both internal and external conflict. internal issues like economic depression, violence, lack of leadership from the royalty. Many nations were attacking France from the outside, some even invaded the country during the revolution.

The Beginning of the Revolution was marked by the storming of the Bastile, which was a prison and fortress in use by the French military.
When Napolean was asked to protect the city of Paris, he defended the city which marked a great turning point in the revolution and in Napolean's career. later he would take military control of the country and name him self as emperor of the empire of France.
