Emo
Emo has been taken to a whole new level, where nobody understands it anymore.. What ever happened to the true emo!!!! All this rubbish about cutting yourself, people did that ages ago, emo is just another label. The media usually has know idea what they're talking about, so do some research and find what a true emo is!!
If you want to be emo.. Then I suggest you don't copy others style. Make it your own thing, start listening to emo bands no one's heard of before. Just keep it real and be ready for a lot of pain and tears..
