A.I.D.S. is so life threatening and scary because, there are so many viruses and deseases out there. You don't know how many viruses enter your body and that you fight off. A virus that everyone else can fight off, might be the one that kills you!
How do You Get A.I.D.S.? You can get A.I.D.S. by having unprotected sexual contact, using the same needle as someone else or you can be born with it. You cannot get A.I.D.S. by using the same water bottle or not washing your hands before you eat! Once you are a teenager you really have to watch out. Just be careful.
What should you do if you think that you have A.I.D.S.? If you think that you have A.I.D.S. you should, get tested for H.I.V. If you come up as H.I.V. positive, that means that you have A.ID.S. Ifyou have it, don't freak out! You can ask a doctor about what to do or, there are some great websites with information. Just be careful and make sure the websites you're getting information off of are from doctors or nurses. You can also talk the your local health unit if you have any questions.
