Ch 4 Project
In William Shakesphere's poem Macbeth, Macbeth thinks about killing the current king for his own gain but later doesn't follow through with it. His wife was the one that convinced him to commit the murder. He becomes king but send misery throughout his land. This could be an influence from the ''Original Sin'' of Adam and Eve.
People are deceived a lot of times by things that would normally seem nice to them. Just like Macbeth who killed the king because of his wife, Adam ate the forbidden fruit because of his wife, Eve, and she ate the fruit because of the serpent. But unlike Macbeth, Adam and Eve didn't have the knowledge of good and evil until they ate the fruit. Macbeth knew it was wrong to kill the king. In the end they all face consequences. Just like today, we face consequences when we do wrong or bad and when we do we were either convinced by someone or something or we just chose to do the wrong thing and not expect consequences.
''Did God say, 'You shall not eat from any tree in the garden'? '' ''We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the sarden: but God said 'You shall not eat in the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden nor shall you touch it or you shall die.'' ''You will not die; for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God knowing good and evil.'' ''...she took of the fruit and ate. She also gave some to her husband with her and he ate.'' ''The Lord God said to Adam 'Cursed is the ground for your sake In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life'.'' Genesis 3:!-6 Gen 3: 17
