The Fifteenth Amendment is the third of the Reconstruction Amendments
15th Amendment-The original House and Senate draft of the Amendment said the right to vote and to be a candidate would not be denied or abridged by the States based on race, color or creed Voting Rights
The 15th amendment prohibits the states and the federal government from using a citizen's race, color or previous status as a slave as a voting qualification. Its basic purpose was to enfranchise former slaves.
14th Amendment-that was first intended to secure the rights of former slaves.
14th Amendment-Protects rights against state infringements, defines citizenship, doesn't allow states from interfering with privileges and immunities, requires due process and equal protection, punishes states for denying vote, and disqualifies Confederate officials and debts
The 13th Amendment-the United States Constitution officially abolished and continues to prohibit slavery and involuntary servitude.
