Chapter 5 Our food was becoming scarce! We had to get out, and quick! We thought we would have either turned around by now or been dead so we didn’t bring enough food. For, I’d say about a day, we followed tunnels. In, out, this way, that way, every which way. We think it took us in a giant circle.
You can’t even begin to understand how good it feels to be the first person in the center of the Earth. Cassidy and I honestly didn’t think we would make it. We were afraid that no one would know how we did it or what we did. We made it, and everyone will know it. I mean, where do our families think we’ve been? I can’t imagine how worried they must be. I hope they understand. Just one problem, now after 2 days, how do we get out?
We haven’t even slept because there is too much sun light. The stopped and we stepped into a crystal filled room with a wide ocean. A geyser shot up and we were thrown to the surface, of China! We were at the exact opposite of the point where we had started. Who knew!
