A difference between the Islamic creation story and the Judaism creation story is that the Islamics believe that the world was created in six days. Unlike the Jewish and Christian communities, who believe that the world was created in seven days.
Creation Story The Jewish community has the same beliefs as Christianty when it comes to the creation story. It is said that on the first day, God created light, which is generally interpreted by God creating days. On the second day, God separated the water of the heavens from the water on Land. The third day, land was completed. Grasses and trees were included as well. Then the following day, the sun, moon, stars, and clouds were created. This was the later formation of day. Following upon that, God created "sea monsters", which are the animals that exist in the waters. That day, he also created land animals and domesticated animals. On the sixth day, God created man and woman. To finish off his masterpiece, God took the seventh day to rest.
A difference between the religions of the Judiasm and Christian community is that the Tanakh' (the Jewish bible) does not hold the new testement as the Christian Bible does.
A similarity between the Judiasm creation story and the Islamic creation story is that both religions belive that God, ultimately, made the same things. Such as domesticated and sea animals, light and day, and the sun and moon.
A similarity between the Judaism and Christian creation story is that they both believe in the order of the events happening in seven days.
Overall, I do agree with the creation story that the Judaism community believes in. Because it is very much like the Christian creation story, which is mainly what I believe in, the events and how they occur make sense. One thing that confuses me, which I do not recall being in the Christian creation sory, is the fact that one day God created light and on the fourth day he created the sun, moon, starts and clouds. It confuses me because I question how God created light without the sun. Besides that, I enjoyed learning about the Jewish religion and comparing their beliefs to the ones i have. It made me realize that religion is not as much as a big issue as many people make it to be. Our religious beliefs have a lot more in common than we are able to realize.
A similarity between the Christian and Judaism creation story is that they both believe in the same order of events that the world was created in. During the seven day period, the events in each day are the same.
