The reason we celebrate Thanksgiving is because the pilgrims were done with all of the harvesting and were ready to give their thanks to god for giving them a wonderful crop season.. Thanksgiving lasted three long days because the pilgrims were so greatful.To many Americans, Thanksgiving is just a day that gives you a long school break and a delicous feast. But It is improtant that everyone knows the real meaning.

Many Americans misunderstand the first Thanksgiving. The first thanksgiving was nothing like it was in this picture. During the first Thanksgiving, There was no table, no chairs, and no metel silverwear . Instead people sat on big rocks and held their wooden plate in their hands. Some of them ate with their hands while the others at with wooden forks, spoons, and knifes. The first Thanksgiving to you may not be a dream come true but for the pilgrims, it was.
