The Bill of Rights have a big impact on every citizen's life whether it is directly or indirectly. The Bill of Rights give all the citizens of the U.S. certain rights and freedoms that protect us from the government. It also sets limitations for the government in case they ever become too powerful. Even though, the Bill of Rights have rights and freedoms, it also has punishments for those who go against the law. To me, the Bill of Rights allows me to speak my mind without getting punished in any way from the government. The Bill of Rights help protect my friends and family and others who are important to me.
The first amendment states that the citizens of the United States have the freedom of religion, speech, press, and petition. People are able to believe in whatever they want, meet whoever they wante, say or publish whatever they want. These give us the basics for our individual freedoms that allow us to make our own decision.
The fourth amendment states that the citizens of the United States have the right to privacy in their own homes against unreasonable search and seizure. People are allowed to feel safe in their own home without the police or other government officials barging into their home without a warrant. The police and other government officials are only allowed to search or seize a property if they have a warrant approved. This helps make people feel safe and comfortable in their own home without having anyone barge in. It also shows that the government can't be in everyone's business and each individual has their own privacy.
