Thurgood Marshall was one of the three main civil rigths actavist he worked behind the scences distroying the Jim Crow laws.
This group of childerm are known as the LIttle Rock Nine, these nine African American young women and men were chosen to attend an all white public school. They were considered some of the brightest young men and women in the United States.
This group of men and women mainly white are called the Freedom Riders they went riding around in the south through states where the Jim Crow laws are inforced and they fought against them.
Rosa Parks the women who refused to give up her seat on the bus, has impacted the United States and Afican Americans!
To the left I have the well-known Martin Luther King Jr. '' I have a Dream'' speech. To the right I have the long hoped for president elect speech from our new African American president Barack Obama!
The blakc power movement was not a racial thing, it was just African Americans being proud of who they are.
Brown vs. Board this represents the ban of segregation in public schools.
This is cartoon representing Plessy vs. Ferguson, this mean seperate but equal with blacks and whites in Louisiana.

The Civil Rights bill was passed in 1964
The Voting Rights Act was passed in 1965
