There been alot of regulations made so there wont be another tragedy like the titanic as in better wireless communications, more lifeboats etc.
The sinking of titanic on april 14 , 1912 was caused by the titanic hitting an iceberg and sank less than 3hrs. She was the largest ship ever built and was called the unsinkable.

People had to say goodbye to their love ones because there wasnt enough life-boats so everyone werent able to survive.
Almost 300feet of the ships hull was damaged , water flooded 6 of her compartments causing water people to drown rapidly.
More than 2200 passengers and crew were aboard on titanic for her journey to the united states . After she sank only 705 people remained alive.
