As the last petal falls from the rose The sun falls below the horizon And I'm left here with this singing silence A frozen breeze blows past But the fire turns it into a halo of heat No longer can I feel your speechless words on my skin I can't hear you smiling down on me And I'm scared of my loneliness Scorched tears fall from my screaming eyes As they fall, they pierce my skin My crystal heart shatters inside my chest The shards slicing through my porcelain flesh Molten blood travels out of veins unknown It drops to the ground and is swallowed hungrily Life trickles from me slowly And it is meaningless until it has disappeared A mask of worthlessness falls over my face Hiding who I once was The mirror lies when I look into it It bleeds and cries and no smile is permitted I tear off the mask and my face does the same It reflects the mirror Matching its every move My love-stained body distorts The reflection disappears and nothingness repeats my name Someone pulls it apart piece by piece
Shredding and burning each section A part of me tears away I scream in desperation They pull harder and soon I'm nothing I'm a name on someone's lips Everything else has torn away And I can't put it all together again This nothingness I see and feel It chews away the last of my sanity A tear is now nothing but a sign of life Yet death is nothing but a sign of helplessness If you said it to me once more Lied to me once more I could slowly see the sun But lies are just words They are as worthless as the promises they come from It won't end until it's over And over is so far away One last tear That's it I'm done Blood runs thick in your veins But it runs fast out of my veins Cold tear, warm blood Thin skin, white flesh Time is over I am gone
