I died on January 20, 1996 after knee surgery complications in Darien, Connecticut!
I was born April 6th, 1927 in Queens New York.... This is where Akeem from Coming to America went!
I have worked with legends such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Lester Young, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Jack Teagarden, Dave Brubeck, and Billie Holliday when I was alive!

I started playing saxophone when I was between 7-10 years old. Did you know my mentor Sam Correnti also taught me Clarinet when I was 7?

This song, Yakity Sax, features a Baritone Saxophone, just like what I played!!!
When I was still alive, I played in many quartets, and big bands, too!
