The Move From Baltimore To Virginia Beach I can replay this memory perfectly in my head. At dinner that night, my brother and I were talking about what games we had played in kindergarden that day. While my parents had these blank looks on their faces as if they were unsure of something. Then my dad said kids we have some news for you. J.T. and I being the six year olds that we were immediately figured we were getting a new toy, or maybe a puppy. Unfortunately, we were mistaken. My parents than explained to us in the easiest way the could that we weren't going to live in Baltimore anymore. Then I asked where we were going, and my parents told my brother and I we were moving to a beach, Virginia Beach. Luckily they had cast our attention away from moving away from our friends and now our attention was on the beach. We had been to Ocean City, MD as little kids. But there was a certain thrill of living at a beach. We moved to Virginia Beach in 2000. I have now been living in Virginia Beach for nine years, ten years in May. There are several things I miss about Maryland. My whole extended family lived there and we would always throw parties and gatherings for all the holidays, and I missed that alot. Also in Baltimore, my family would always go to the Baltimore Orioles games, and when I moved here to Virginia there were no major sports teams and none of my family lived here. Just recently my dad's sister moved here with her kids, and it's a nice change to have family living near my family again. I still want to move back to Maryland when I graduate high school. Even though I lived in Virginia Beach most of my life I miss Baltimore like crazy.
