WHAT WHERE THEIR MOTIVES?
The Spanish Conquistadors existed in the 15th and 16th century. They were strong and good explorers, but they also devastated ancient civilizations and treated the people of the civilization very poorly.
There where many motives for sending out Conquistadors to the New world. The main reasons why the Spanish wanted to send out Conquistadors included… - Wealth (there was much silver, gold, and spices in the Americas) -Power -Prestige -Build their Empire

Some of the most noticable changes were... -The cultures of the Africans, Natives and Spainish melted together -The areas began to speak Spainish as the main langue -Traces of the orginal cultre in the Americas diminished
Political Effects of the Conquistadors
The effects the Conquistadors had on Spain where very great in their political power.The Conquistadors found and conquered much land for spain making Spain a grander nation in size and wealth. Spain had many colonies in the New World because of conquistadors and they were able to use this for their advantage. Many products that other countries wanted could be found in the New world but because Spain controled the areas where the resources where found the only way other countries could recieve these resources would have to be by purchasing them from Spain. Also, other Spainish colonies had to buy their resources directly from Spain, not other colonies in the area. With Spain selling all the goods and being the only producer the country became rich very quickly making them the most powerful country at the time.
