She sits alone Awaiting his return Another day passes by She’s still waiting He rides through desserts He climbs over mountains Looking for the tower Trying to find true love Diligent as ever Silently waiting She never moves Through the wind and rain She waits He’s finally there Ready to save his princess He fights the dragon Climbs the stairs Only to find she’s gone She didn’t know where he was going How long he would be But she thought her love could wait Another week passes And she knew it couldn’t He heads back home He knows she’ll be waiting Suddenly he realizes his love isn’t a princess She doesn’t need rescued That’s okay She sees him across the field And falls all over again It doesn’t matter where he was Or how long he was gone Her face lights up as she sees him And he runs to her He knows his place is right there He knows its love They meet in the center of the field Both of them know they’re in love No point in fighting it This is their happily after ever
