Anatomy
-Antonio Pollaiuolo was the ''first master to skin many human bodies in order to investigate the muscles and understand the nude in a more modern way.'' -Painters such as da Vinci and Michelangelo also skinned and dissected the body mostly for sculpting purposes. -Although dissection was frowned upon during this time people dissected out of curiosity. -Dissection wasn't new it was first used by the Egyptians for religious purposes. -Shows rebirth -Using old ideas for new purposes. -New ways of thinking.
Humanism
It's not all about religion anymore. People are paying less attention to what the church is saying. The fuedal system is broken, and it's time to experiment. People are curious, they're cutting people open to see what our body looks like. They may still believe in God and the church but they are more focused on what they can accomplish on their own. Artists and sculptors aren't only creating religious works, they are showing the world everyday things in a more interesting way. People are getting more creative-thinking in different ways. Writers and creating fictional works, not copying manuscripts. We have the printing press which can make multiple copies of books and plays for us. We can now communicate and more people are literate! It's a new time period, time for new beginnings. If it wasn't for all of those people in the Renaissance time period we woiuldn't be what we are today. We could still be illiterate and we wouldn't know what is going on in different parts of the world.
