On the nights when the memories (Memories that are all I have left) Are at their worst (Remembering your smile, your stupid laugh) It hurts like cold spikes through my warm heart (as I climb into bed, I cry) I lay exactly how I was the day before the Night (that Night when we should've never confessed) I remember your warmth, your delicious smell (the smell I told you I liked; it was a test) I wish I had reached up (and gently brushed your cheek with my hand) Kissed you and not cared (but I couldn't. It would be my first real-goodly kiss) I can't sleep tonight, thinking about you (Really, I can't sleep any other night) I need you back (not as my boyfriend, my romancer or warm, good smeller) You're my mind reader, my confidant. (Correction- Were)
