An autumn sunset, a falling leaf, A star emerges, I loose belief, The sun fades, along with the heat, I slip away into my minds retreat. There he is, smile of pearl, I'm not aware my mind's a whirl, He sings a song, a verse for me, As I lean against a lifeless tree. Then, a tap, his warm embrace, My eyes adjust to see his face, I place a hand upon his cheek, He tells me that the future's bleak. Under the tree, Week 23, The hole is below my feet, In a better place he's taken a seat.
