Cancer Cells
Cancer cells show metabolism because the mitochondria synthesizes energy. Cancer cells show respiration because the mitochondria gives off energy from foods. Cancer cells show regulation because the cell membrane is the barrier between the cell and it's environment. Cancer cells show locomotion because the cytoskeleton it gives the cell it's shape. Cancer cells show synthesis because the Endoplasmic Reticulum produces (makes) glycogen.
Cancer Cells keep multiplying (reproducing). Cancer Cells are eukaryotic cells. Cancer Cells have a mutated DNA which tells it to keep duplicating. When Cancer Cells build up, it's called a tumor. Since the Cancer Cells can't stop reproducing, the tumor gets bigger and starts to spread to other parts of the body, creating more tumors.
There are over 100 different types of cancer. Some types include... Bladder cancer, Brain cancer, Breast cancer, Cervical cancer, Colon caner, Leukemia Hodgkin's disease

Cancer Organelles
Vacuole- stores food, water, and waste. Lysosome- breaks larger food molecules into smaller molecules. The Lysosome also digests old cell parts. Centriole- helps the cell reproduce. Chromatin (DNA)- to package DNA into a smaller fit in the cell. Golgi Apparatus- Processes protein that is synthesized in endoplasmic reticulum. Cytoskeleton- maintains cell shape and allows cellular motion. Flagella-move liquid past the surface of the cell
Cancer cells show reproduction because the centriole has fibers to separate chromosomes during cell division. Cancer cells show transport because the cell membrane controls the movement in/out of the cell. Smooth ER and rough ER and Golgi Apparatus also transport. They are part of the Endocyotic pathways. They're migration paths are through the various organelles. Cancer cells show growth because the mitochondria turns food into ATP, which helps us grow. Any organelles that carries out synthesis reactions allows the cell to grow. Cancer cells show nutrition because the endosome produces protein. Cancer cells show excretion because the vacuole stores waste, water and food.
Cell Membranes- let things in and out of the cell, such as sugar being let in the cell and carbon dioxide being let out. Nucleus- controls cell activities. Nuclear Membrane- controls movement of materials in and out of the cell. Cytoplasm- Supports/ protects cell organelles. Endoplasmic Reticulum- carries materials through cell. Mitochondria- breaks down glucose molecules in energy, which turns into ATP Cilia- move liquid past the surface of the cell.
