Plant Cells
-Plant cells do photosynthesis inside the cell. -Plants have something in them called chlorophyll, chlorophyll gives plants their color, and it is in plant cells.
Cell wall-protects the cell. Cell membrane- allows things to enter or leave the cell. Chloroplasts- where the chlorophyll is. Nucleus- where the DNA of the cell is found, and controls all cell activity. Nucleolus- where ribosomes are made. Golgi body- stores and distributes lipids and proteins made in the E.R. Golgi vesicle- move the proteins and lipids to other places. Microtubule- do a lot of different things, including structural support. Centrosome- where microtubules are made. Nuclear membrane- a membrane that surrounds the nucleus. Cytoplasm- supports all parts of the cell and gives oxygen and nutrients to other parts of the cell. Smooth E.R.- packages proteins for transport and and gives out calcium. Rough E.R.- makes proteins and is covered in ribosomes, which make it look rough. Ribosomes- protien builders for the cell. Mitochondria- produce energy by doing respiration. Vacuole- where water, nutrients and other things are stored. Lysosomes- break down big molecules into small molecules.
Plant cells are eukaryotic.
Plant cell facts -Plant cells make up all green plants. -Plant cells are similar to animal cells because of structures in the cell. -Every organelle in plant cells have their own membrane.
Plant cell- a cell that is a structural and functional unit of a plant.
