Inkheart is a novel for anyone who loves to read, about Meggie- a girl who loves to read!! Meggie and her father, Mo, love stories, but why doesn't Mo ever read aloud to her? Where is her mother? When Meggie finds out the extraordinary truth, she can hardly believe it herself, but is forced to as she lives in an adventure she has only ever read about.

I THINK....... Mainly set in a deserted village, Inkheart is an amazingly written book and had me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed it and have already reserved the next in the series- Inkspell. The setting was very well chosen, because it gave the feeling of suspicion.

Inkheart is about Meggie and her father, Mo. Meggie only discovers her father's rare and unusual secret when a suspicious stranger shows up at their house. Mo can read characters out of books. He's done it before. Meggie and her father embark on a life- changing adventure in which Meggie discovers another secret, but this time about herself. The evil Capricorn is trying to use these powers for his own good, but can Meggie and her father find a way out? Can her power save them all? Will she rescue her mother? Who... or what is the dreaded Shadow?
