In this epic story a slave of the famous William Clark who with the help of Meriwether Lewis made one of the expidition to this day. This slave was York as a boy he grew up as Clarks slave, more like friends though they both grew up together. At age 19 Clark left for the military and york went back to the family farm. returing from the war clark was asked by lewis and president Thomas Jefferson if he would explore the new Lousiana Purchase. So they rounded up 25 men York included headed west. York was one of the best men on the trip. The natives loved him and called him big medicine. Over the expoidtion they grew very close. A few years after they got back Clark let York free, he went and found his love that he had met while at the Clark Farm and they lived happily ever after.
