S.A.R.S (Severe acute respiratory syndrome) * first reported in february of 2003. * Reported first in asia then spread to North America, South America, Europe before the outbreak was contained. *a total of 8,098 people worldwide became sick with SARS during the 2003 outbreak.
* out of the total only 774 died in the outbreak in North America. *finally contained in april of 2004 *symptoms include: temperature greater than 100.4F, headache, an overall feeling of discomfort, body aches,dry cough. most patients developed pneumonia
