Gregor and the Prophecty of Bane

Gregor has not visited the strange world underneath the streets of New York for many months now. He swore he would never return to that place. The people from the Underland continue to return and attempt to warn him about the new prophecy and danger of the Bane; a giant whire rat. The people from the Underlander realize the value of his sister Boots and kidnap Boots from the Overland in an attempt to lure Gregor back to the Underland to follow the prophecy. He returns back and discovers the prophecy and reunites with Princess Luxa and his bat Ares to find the where abouts of the giant white rat.
This story takes place in the Underland or the Waterways of New York City and Gregor's apartment. It's told in third person.
Another character in the book is Gregor's little sister, Boots. She is not the most important in this book. However, in another book, she is a vital piece to the safety of the Underlanders and the rats. Boots must mature greatly throughout her adventures in order for her to comprehend all the obstacles surrounding her. I don;t really relate to Boots so much because, well, I'm a lot older and more wise.
