Trapped alone in a dark room, The light unable to come through, The dark feels so much like home, The light burns my soul as much as my eyes The dark fills my alone and empty heart, It heals my soul and opens up my mind, It deepens my cuts, brighten my scars, The heart that’s been broken many times, Filled with the darkness of my life, The soul that’s been dulled and dulled healed, My mind that’s been closed is open to see reality, My cuts deepen and my scars shown to the world To show my pain
You fear the darkness as I embrace it, You love the light as it burns me, You live your lives as I am forgotten, You mourn your deaths as I wait for mine I’m trapped in the darkness’ room, Alone and empty, With puddles of blood from my cuts, And my dull dead eyes hiding from the light
