Travel Log Traveling across the Sahara is a very interesting experience, I have seen many different cultures in my travels, and have introduced my culture to many of them. I traded with many people. I traded things like salt, gold, slaves, and silk. One thing that was difficult about the journey was how hot and dry the Sahara is. There is not a large supply of water, and every drop is valued. I hope to be home soon.
Early Culture and Trade
Age sets were developed to have people who were around the same age help each other.
They believed that everything had a spirit.
Around 500 BC they discovered iron. Iron was very useful and advanced.
Trade in the desert was very dangerous, they rode on camels and had to make sure that supplies doesn't run out.
Gold and salt mines became a great source of wealth. Timbuktu through trade became wealthy.

Why did they start using camels to travel through the desert? They started using camels because they can go with out water for a long time, while horses can't.
Why were age sets developed? They were developed because they want people of the same age to help each other.
