Solar System
Hubble Telescope
Milky Way
The Solar System consists of 8 planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. It also includes the Sun. Nicolaus Copernicus first found out about these planets and Galileo was soon after to figure out the structure of this Solar System. The planets are governed by the same physical laws that governed the Earth, gravity.
Milky Way is so unique in many different ways. The Milky is the galaxy our solar system is located. This galaxy is a spinning galaxy that is surrounded by a disk of dust, gas, and stars. It is estimated to include somewhere around 200 billion to 400 billion. Aristotle was the first to inform us about the Milky Way and Galileo was the one who gave us proof there was a Milky Way galaxy.
the Hubble Telescope was first carried into the orbit by a shuttle in 1990. The telescope was built by the famous space incorporation NASA. This Hubble Telescope was built so NASA could take pictures of our atmosphere and the surface features of Earth. This is one of the greatest achievements NASA ever had. This Telescope also takes videos of our Earth.
Hoag's Object
The Hoag's Object is another example of another different galaxy. It's a type known as a ring galaxy. galaxy is named after Arthur Allen Hoag who discovered it in 1950. They estimating to have consisting around 8 billion amount of stars in that galaxy. The almost perfect ring of young hot blue stars circles the older yellow nucleus of this ring galaxy.
