Gilgamesh the first epic
Upon their return, Gilgamesh denies Ishtar, the goddess of love, and as a result, the gods bring about Enkidu's death.
After passing by the scorpion monsters, Gilgamesh meets Siduri, who tires to warn him abot the dangers of immortality. Nevertheless, she directs him toward Utnapishtim.
Grieving for Enkidu, Gilgamesh goes searching for Utnapishtim, who was granted eternal life after the Great Flood.
Upon meeting Utnapishtim, Gilgamesh is given a test.. If he can stay awake for one whole week, he would be granted immortality.
Enkidu and Gilgamesh travel to the Cedar Forest, destroying the guard, Humbaba.
Gilgamesh is a king who terrorizes his people, so the gods creat Enkidu to help him.
The Plot
Gilgamesh returns to Uruk empty-handed, but with a new outlook on his mortality and the future of humankind.
Gilgamesh finds the plant and plans to share it with the elders of Uruk, but a snake steals it.
After failing the test, Utnapishtim tells Gilgamesh to go back to Uruk. But his wife reveals information about a plant that resotres youth.
