Jazz was the new and hip music of the 1920's. It originated from New Orleans and Louisana, then spread all across the U.S.
Jazz music was very popular to the generation. Speak Easies often featured live jazz music.
African American Jazz musiacians were recognized as some of the greatest musicians of all time. Jazz Broke racial barriers in the world, in such ways as African Americans were invited to white recording studios to record their music.
