Look at me now, now that I’m without you. Without you, I’m no longer black and blue. I can smile without having to pretend, I can spill all my problems to my best friend. I can do whatever without being scared, You can no longer tell me that I’m impaired. I used to let you push me around, You used to laugh when I’d fall to the ground, I stayed by you cause I thought I was worthless. I never realized that you were heartless. I thought that this was how it went. You pushed me as far as I bent. I thought it was okay. Until that one day. When a simple boy told me, How pretty I could be. Without the bruises and the baggy clothes, I’d be as beautiful as it goes. That simple boy changed my life forever, He told me that with him I’d have to deal with the pain, never. And I know that he’s good cause he’s nothing like you. He’d never abuse me like you do. -by rebe-ka-tastrophe.
