The Black Plague
More than 5,000 sheep were found dead in just one field alone! (Gasp!)
Rats were spreading the disease through trade routes because they were following the trail of food from the traders.
Jews were being massacred all over Europe because they were thought to be the cause of the plague.
There are three different kinds of the plague. -Bubonic which is most common and you died in four to six days -Pneumonic which was in the lungs. -Septicemia which is most rare and you died within a day of getting this disease.
1/3 of Europes population died!
Created a big loss of labor for owners, now the working class could now demand more money!!!!
The popes were not going out as much because they didnt want to get infected but people were wanting to pray more so they had to go out!
The plague was not just in Europe!!!1
