Trachea and Diaphram
The trachea is the common passageway which respirary air passes through. It connects the nose to the mouth to the lungs. The diaphram is muscle extending across the ribcage.
What is it?
The trachea conducts air between the larynx and primary bronchi. It also maintains and protects the airway. The diaphram acts by opening and closing the lungs as the breathe in air.
What is the function?
We need the diaphram to survive because the lungs would not be able to support themselves and do their job correctly without the muscle. The trachea is needed because our air needs a path to follow or else it might end up in the wrong place.
