In July 1992, the British divided Palestine into two districts. Jews were only allowed in the west side. On November 29, 1947, the United Nations voted to partition western Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state. The armies of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq invaded it and the Jewish states survived.At the end of the 1967 war, Israel controlled the Gaza Strip, Sinai Desert, Judea, and Samaria, and other parts of the Golan Heights. The next attempt to destroy Israel was carried out on October 6, 1973. Egypt and Syria launched a concerted military attack against Israel. Three major attempts to destroy Israel have been carried out by the Arab world, in 1947, 1967, and 1973. Israel still seeks peace. A treaty was signed between Israel and Jordan.

How Israel was Created On November 29, 1947, the United Nation voted 33 to 13, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel. The British reliquished their control over Palestine in 1948. War broke out between the Arabs and Jews soon after. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War, it established the state of Israel as an independent state, with the rest of the British Mandate of Palestine split into areas controlled by Egypt and Transjordan.
