I stood, as the only female in the room, with the other rushers. I felt completely out of place, but somewhat normal here, because all rushers felt out of place. I looked at Kris, ''Why is everyone arguing?'' ''Because that is what these people do, love.'' There was a main argument that everyone was listening to between two men in the room. They were of medium rank, acknowledged, but not really respected. They were bickering over the war that was at hand, and how the leaders should handle it. Personally, I thought, why didn't they leave it up to the leaders? They were making no progress in their quarrel. I slipped through the crowd silently to approach Huntre. He watched me move silently through the closely packed bodies with grace and ease. I made my way up to him and said, ''Do I have permission to use a weapon in your court?'' He smiled slightly, ''Are you going to hurt anyone, Katrina?'' ''No, I'm just going to quiet them down." His slight smile turned into a full blown grin, ''Well, then be my guest.'' I smiled sweetly and made my way back to Kris. He looked at me, "What did you ask him" '' ''About a weapon.'' Without letting anyone notice what I was doing, I slipped the small knife away from the small of my back. The two men that were screaming at each other were about eight or nine inches apart. Easy. I put the knife right at my ear and aimed for right between their noses on the wall behind them. I repositioned my arm a little, then let the blade fly. It spun in the air a few times before sticking in the exact spot I had aimed for in the wall behind them. Everything went silent as the two irate men turned to look at me. I smiled as I said, ''If you would be so kind as to shut up for five minutes, the more intelligent people in the room might get something done about your bloody war.'' The other rushers smiled, but the rest of the room glared. The dark headed man who seemed to be a Northerner said, ''And wha' makes you so 'igh and migh'y, miss"'' He said it with a heavy accent, and sarcasm. I smiled a little wider, but I was interrupted, ''The fact that she's my daughter makes her high and mighty, my friend. Plus, she's a rusher, so I would advise you stay on her good side''. I knew my father's voice from behind me, he was back with the Western Guard. I felt him walk up beside me, as I saw the light headed man that had been in the argument reach for my knife. I spoke clearly and slowly, ''Don't touch the knife.'' He turned around, ''I was retrieving it for you, not stealing it.'' He was from the East, like most of us. I ducked under the table Kris and I had been standing at and made my way over to the arguers. People moved out of the way. There were about five rushers here total and about five hundred people here total. We were the minority, but the most feared, and I was a female rusher. That had respect written all over it. I saw people I knew in the crowd as I moved to get my knife. I got between the two arguers and pulled it out by its hilt, wiping it off before I put it back in it's holder on my back. I looked at the light headed one, ''What's your name?'' He smiled kindly. ''Kenna.'' I nodded, ''You are from the East, no doubt?'' It was a question that I knew the answer to. ''Born and raised, ma'am.'' I smiled and turned to the dark headed one, ''And your name?'' ''Bernard.'' ''From the North?'' ''Aye, marm.'' I looked him in the eye, ''Liar.''
