The Night
As the world turns around And as I watch the sun go down All I have to do is wait For the darkness that the night will make When it's dark, when it's safe When the kids come out to play When there's nothing left to be seen, Only moonlight that shines on dreams When the silence is explosive When no one here is ever noticed This is the time, the perfect place To spill out all the dreams of hate When I think all the thoughts I know I'll lay my head on my pillow And then I'll have a restful sleep Where I dream all of my colourful dreams And in the morning when I wake, With the sun shining on my face The world feels like a brighter place, But it won't compare to the night
