The basic requirements for becoming a naturalized United States citizen is you have to be at least eighteen years old when you are filing the Application for Naturalization. You have to be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English. When coming to the United States you have to know about the history and government.. You MUST take the oath of allegiance to the United States of America. If you filed the Application for Naturalization you have to have lived here for three months in the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) district or state.
