The lonely girl upon her porch, Spending her summer reading books, She isn't very tall or pretty, But doesn't care about her looks, Her family's broken and her father's gone, But she's used to it that way, Inside so strong and she lives on, Through the torment everyday, Hiding everything inside, All the pain she feels, The poetry inside her books, Writing is how she deals.. The pretty girl upon her porch, Spending her summer with boys in the mall, She's popular, rich, and full of life, She thinks she has it all, But all the rumors start one day, And her poplularity came to an end, Now she sits alone and cries all night, Because she has no friends, She has no clue of the meaning of life, She thinks she's the worst in the world, But everything's about to change, When she meets the ugly girl.. A hot sunny day in the park it was, As the ugly girl sits on the bench, She looks up, And goes back to reading, As a girl walked through the fence, She walked over to the ugly girl and says, 'Do you think we can talk?' She says 'Sure, if you want, How about we take a walk?' They walk back to her house as the pretty girl breaks down, Telling her story of her long lost friends and how she has no one around,
The ugly girl could never imagine, That she's almost the same, Lonely, friendless, and just too shy, And always getting the blame, They both made a new friend that day, Completley different girls, Though the same in heart and mind, From completley different worlds.
