Impact on the World
Viruses cause many problems for human society. For example, viruses can not be cured by antibiotics. There are also other factors that cause a problem for us. For example global warming. Because of Global warming, new viruses are emerging, for example the ebola virus in central africa. Viruses are also able to mutate to the treatments that we give them. So even though they are new, they are more like mutations. For example the HIV virus. It is very hard to treat, because of its ability to mutate to treatements, and medicines. But with the study of Virology, there is a possibility to come up with a treatment to eleminate the virus.

Within this article it states that because of global warming, new viruses are emerging. Because of the melting of polar ice caps, it causes the release of new viruses. These viruses remained dormit for many years. But because of the earth heating up over time, these new viruses are then being released. It also states that the new viruses are able to mutate due to the rise in temprature. This mutation can cause a threat to people because there is that possibility that they are not able to treat that disease.
