1933 The German chancellor Paul von Hindenberg gave power to Hitler. His plan was to exterminate the Jewish because he believe that they were the cause of the harsh defeat of Germany.
1938 This is the time that Hitler annexed Austria. Then Hitler took over part of Czechoslovakia.
1939 Hitler took over the rest ofCzechoslovakia and turned his sights to Poland, demanding the Polish Corridor. Then Germany called a war on Poland and the British and French responded by calling a war on Germany just days later.
1940 Hitler continued his attempt to create a German Empire by attacking the nations of Denmark and Norway. While this was going on Hitler planned to take control of France and other nations.
1941 Germany and Italy attacked Yugoslavia. Most of Europe was under control by the Nazis. During this time the Germans also invaded the Soviet Union.
1944 The American and British soldiers landed at Normandy. Hitler thought that they were going to attack in the North, so they took Hitler's miscalcualtion to advantage and by the end of the month, the Allies had over 800,000 soldiers there.
1945 Two very big things happened. Hitler killed himself in his Berlin command hide out. World War II ended by the atomic bombs in Japan
