ANCIENT ROME
The End of the Roman Empire The Roman Empire completely ended when Odoacer the Scirian was elected to be emperor then opted to be the 'viceroy' of the Roman Augustus of Constantinople.
The founding of Rome Rome was fabled to have been founded by Romulus, one of two who had been set adrift in a reed basket. They were found, in one fable, by a nursing she-wolf(in latin lupa) which nursed the two until a shepard found them. The other is that a former prostitute(also lupa) found them and took care of them. When the two grew older they were told of where they came from. they the drew an army and took the city of the ruler who sent them down the river. They then made two separate cities. The other, Remus, was later slain by his brother Romulus. Who then named the empire Rome.
Government The goverment of Rome was a mixture of both democracy and a republic. many of there ideas were taken from Greek views on goverment. There was an emperor who made many of the decision, but there were also consuls who were appointed after the emperor was selected./
Art Roman art and much of its architecture was based around religion and country. Monuments set up to glorify former leaders. Marble sculptures made to depict and please the gods and goddesses.
