Most deaths in Florence. The plaque came from fleas that were on rats. 3 types of plaque Bubonic plaque Pneumonic plaque Sepncemia plaque. Jews are being blamed for plaque.
Political
The population decreased because so many people were dying. The government went from a monarchy to a democracy. The plaque destroyed the political structure. Jews were run out of Europe because they were being blamed for the start of the plaque and the government didn't do anything about it.
Symptoms
Buboes, fever, headache, chills, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea (may be bloody), decreased appetite, petechiae (tiny broken blood vessels)
People weren't creamated because churches didn't believe in it. Some people blamed God for them getting the plaque. The Roman Cathlic Church was hit hard because of so many deaths. Many people soon started killing themselves even though it was against what the church believed in.
